The Bargi Dam is one of the first completed dams in a chain of 30 larger dams to be built on the Narmada in Madhya Pradesh , India. Two major irrigation projects named Bargi Diversion Project and Rani Avantibai Lodhi Sagar Project already exist.
The dam is 69 m high and 5357 m long. The reservoir is approx. 75 km long and 4.5 km wide and extends over 268 km² in the districts of Jabalpur , Mandla and Seoni when full .
