Barnabas Collins

Barnabas Collins (born May 13, 1836 in Ohio , † January 5, 1901 in Sacramento ) was a California politician. He belonged to the Republican Party .

Collins ran for the California State Assembly in 1900 in the 7th electoral district ( Butte County ) and won on November 6 with 51.4% of the vote. He became chairman of the hunting and fishing committee and was a member of two other committees. But just over a week after his inauguration, Collins died unexpectedly of pneumonia . In the few days he was a member of parliament, he had introduced five bills - mainly "district bills" relating to his constituency.

Barnabas Collins was buried in Sacramento City Cemetery .
