Barnitz is a district of the Damnatz municipality in the Elbtalaue municipality in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .
The place is one kilometer north of Damnatz on the eastern Elbe .
history
For the year 1848 it is stated that Barnitz had seven residential buildings in which 54 residents lived. At the time the place was parish to Damnatz, where the school was located. On December 1, 1910, Barnitz had 67 inhabitants and was an independent municipality in the Dannenberg district .
