Baron Bagot , of Bagot's Bromley in the County of Stafford , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Great Britain .

Award

The title was created on October 17, 1780 for the House of Commons Sir William Bagot, 6th Baronet . In 1768 he had inherited from his father the title of Baronet , of Blithfield Hall in the County of Stafford, which had been bestowed on his ancestor Hervey Bagot (1591-1660) on May 31, 1627 in the Baronetage of England.

Today's title holder is his descendant Charles Bagot as the 10th baron.

The historic family home of the barons is Blithfield Hall , north of Rugeley in Staffordshire .

The alleged heir to the title ( Heir Presumptive ) is the third degree uncle of the current title holder, Richard Charles Villiers Bagot (* 1941).
