Baron Bayning

Baron Bayning was a hereditary British title of nobility , which was awarded once in the Peerage of England and in the Peerage of Great Britain .

Awards

For the first time on February 27, 1628 in the Peerage of England the title Baron Bayning , of Horkesley in the County of Essex , was created for Sir Paul Bayning, 1st Baronet . He had already been raised to Baronet , of Bentley Parva in the County of Essex, in the Baronetage of England on September 24, 1611 , and on March 8, 1628 in the Peerage of England to Viscount Bayning , of Sudbury in the County of Suffolk raised. The titles expired with the death of his son, the 2nd Viscount, on June 11, 1638.

On October 20, 1797, the title Baron Bayning , of Foxley in the County of Berks , was recreated for the politician Charles Townshend . The title expired on August 5, 1866, with the death of his younger son, the 3rd Baron, whose only son Charles had died in 1864.
