Baron Belper
Baron Belper , of Belper in the County of Derby , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
The family seat of the Barons is The Park in Kingston on Soar in Borough Rushcliffe in Nottinghamshire .
Award
The title was created on August 29, 1856 for the liberal politician Edward Strutt . He was a grandson of the textile entrepreneur and inventor Jedediah Strutt .
Today's title holder has been his great-great-grandson Richard Strutt as the 5th baron since 1999 .
