Baron Decies
Baron Decies , of Decies in the County of Waterford , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Ireland .
The family seat of the barons is Straffan Lodge near Straffan in County Kildare .
Award
The title was created on December 21, 1812 for the Anglican Archbishop of Tuam , Rev. William Beresford . He was a younger son of Marcus Beresford , 1st Earl of Tyrone .
Today's title holder has been his great-great-great-grandson Marcus Beresford as the 7th Baron since 1992 .
