Baron Herbert of Lea
Baron Herbert of Lea , of Lea in the County of Wiltshire , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
The title was created in 1861 for the politician Sidney Herbert , the fourth son of the 11th Earl of Pembroke . Lord Herbert died in the year of the award and was inherited by his son George . In 1862 he inherited the titles Earl of Pembroke and Earl of Montgomery from his cousin . The title of baron has since been used as a subordinate title to the earl.
