Baron Marks of Broughton

Baron Marks of Broughton , of Sunningdale in the Royal County of Berks , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on July 10, 1961 for the businessman Sir Simon Marks . He was the managing director of the Marks & Spencer retail company , which his father Michael Marks founded with Thomas Spencer in 1884.

Today's title holder has been his grandson Simon Marks as 3rd Baron since 1998.
