Baron Rathcavan

Baron Rathcavan , of The Braid in the County of Antrim , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The family home of the barons is Cleggan Lodge near Ballymena in County Antrim .

Award and subordinate titles

The title was created on February 11, 1953 for the unionist politician Sir Hugh O'Neill, 1st Baronet . As early as June 17, 1929, he was given the subordinate title Baronet , of Cleggan in the County of Antrim.

Today's title holder has been his grandson as 3rd Baron since 1994.
