Baron Vernon
Baron Vernon , of Kinderton in the County of Chester , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Great Britain .
Award
The title was created on May 12, 1762 for the former Member of the House of Commons George Venables-Vernon .
Today's title holder is his descendant Anthony Vernon-Harcourt as the 11th Baron.
The Barons' historic family home, Sudbury Hall near Uttoxeter in Derbyshire , was sold to the National Trust in 1967 .
