Baron Vivian
Baron Vivian , of Glynn and of Truro in the County of Cornwall , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award and subordinate titles
The title was awarded on August 19, 1841 to the general and politician Sir Hussey Vivian, 1st Baronet . He had distinguished himself as an officer in the Napoleonic Wars and then rose to high military posts. He was also a member of the House of Commons for more than 15 years . The title Baronet , of Truro in the County of Cornwall, was raised to him on January 19, 1828 in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom .
