Baron Wake
Baron Wake , of Liddell, was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of England .
The title was created on October 1, 1295 by King Edward I for John Wake by inviting him to his parliament through Writ of Summons . He was lord of Liddel Strength Castle in Cumbria .
As Barony by writ , the title could also be inherited in the female line. Since the death of the 8th Baron on September 18, 1408, the title in Abeyance has been between his sisters and their descendants.
