Barry McCallion

Barry McCallion (born 1940 in New York City ) is an American visual artist.

life and work

Barry McCallion was born in the Bronx . He made a Bachelor of Art History and English Literature from Columbia University , whereupon he graduated with a Masters degree in Sculpture .

1972 to 1973 he was a participant in the Fluxshoe in Cornwall. In 1977 he was invited to documenta 6 .

McCallion has exhibited in Germany, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Australia and the USA and currently lives on Long Island .
