from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Barthold Christian Beseler (born October 4, 1789 in Rendsburg ; † October 15, 1821 there ) was a German bell founder.

Live and act

Barthold Christian Beseler was a son of Barthold Jonas Beseler the Younger and his wife Anna Elisabeth Dose. Grandfather Barthold Jonas Beseler the Elder had opened a foundry for bells and artillery in Rendsburg in 1757, which his father had taken over on January 1, 1789.

Barthold Christian Beseler took over the hut from his father in 1809, successfully continuing the tradition of the Beseler bell foundry family . Since he remained unmarried until the end of his life and died childless, his brother Jakob Friedrich Beseler took over the foundry in 1821.
