Barthold Jonas Beseler the Younger (born March 1, 1764 in Rendsburg ; † December 29, 1814 there ) was a German master locksmith and bell founder.

Live and act

Barthold Jonas Beseler the Younger was a son of the bell founder Barthold Jonas Beseler the Elder and his second wife Anna Elisabeth, née Wommelsdorff. The father had founded a foundry in Rendsburg in which he cast bells and artillery. His brother Cay Hartwig Beseler became a well-known dikemaster.

Beseler the Younger worked in his father's foundry and, due to the old age of his father, took over its management. On January 1, 1789, he took over the hut himself. On October 15, 1790, he received his own royal Danish bell-founder privilege.

Beseler the Younger was married to Anna Elisabeth Dose (* around 1769; † January 20, 1806) since December 25, 1788. The couple had nine children. The son Barthold Christian took over the management of the hut in 1809. The son Jakob Friedrich later carried on the tradition of the bell foundry family Beseler .
