Live and act

Barthold Heinrich Michael Beseler was a son of Jakob Friedrich Beseler and his wife Dorothea Elisabeth Margarethe Blohm. His ancestors from the Beseler bell foundry family had been producing bells and guns in Rendsburg since 1758. The father ran the company in the third generation.

After the Schleswig-Holstein survey began , Beseler's father decided to bypass the Danish customs requirements. Therefore, he opened a second production facility in Carlshütte , whose bells were to be delivered to Schleswig. He handed over the management to his son Barthold Heinrich Michael, who made 17 famous bells here.

Barthold Heinrich Michael Beseler was married to Catharina Stuck (1812-1883) from Meggersee near Friedrichstadt since May 4, 1839 . The couple had eight children.
