Barton Buttress ( Filar Bartona in Polish ) is a massif on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It looms over the Tyrrell Ridge in the southern part of the Keller Peninsula .

Polish scientists named it in 1984. It is named after the British geologist Colin Munroe Barton (* 1934), who worked for the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey on King George Island from 1951 to 1961 .
