Basaa languages

The Basaa languages are a language group within Guthrie Zone A of the Bantu languages . It is classified as Zone A40 and contains four individual languages ​​that are spoken by around 300,000 people in Cameroon .

The individual languages ​​are:

  • Bakoko , around 50,000 speakers
  • Bankon , around 12,000 speakers
  • Barombi , around 3,000 speakers
  • Bassa , around 230,000 speakers
