The Base Léonore (German: Léonore database) is a database of the French Ministry of Culture that lists records of members of the Legion of Honor . The name of the database is an acronym made up of Lé (legion) and honore (honor).

The Base Léonore comprises a collection of documents on persons nominated or accepted into the Legion, from its foundation by Napoléon Bonaparte on May 19, 1802 until 1977. The dossiers are kept in the National Archives of France and the Grande Chancellerie de la Légion d ' honneur kept. The records of the legionaries who died before 1954, particularly between 1930 and 1954, are archived in Fontainebleau . They are digitized and available online. Detailed online dossiers are available for 380,444 people via the database .

The entries can either be accessed using a search form or using thematic lists that are sorted alphabetically. A data record records the surname, the surname of the wife, the place of birth or the department for each legionnaire. The information of the 84 legionaries, whose files are at the Grande Chancellerie de la Légion d'honneur, can be researched separately.
