Bashidang

Bashidang ( Chinese  八十 垱 遗址 , Pinyin Bāshídàng yízhǐ ) is a Neolithic site of the Pengtoushan culture that was discovered in Mengxi Township in Li County of Hunan Province, China . It is dated to before 8000-9000. Xian rice (籼), Jing (or Geng) rice (粳) and wild rice 野生 稻 ( Oryza rufipogon ) grown in wet field cultures were discovered.

The Bashidang site has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-93) since 2001 .
