Allen Augustus Tirrill

Allen Augustus Tirrill (born January 9, 1872 in Colebrook (New Hampshire) , † September 21, 1925 in Pittsburgh ) was an American electrical engineer and inventor of a widespread voltage regulator that worked on the principle of vibration, the Tirrill regulator . In 1914 he received the Scott Award .

His parents were Seth Walker Tirrill (1840-1901) and Dolly Morse Little (1842-1892). Around 1893 he married Vera Lula May Cutney (* around 1873 in New Hampshire).
