The Basilisk Crag is a jagged cliff with a northeast orientation in the northeast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 70 m high on the southeast coast of Griffin Cove .
Like other geographical objects in the area, the cliff is named after a mythical creature, in this case the basilisk due to the shape of the cliff reminiscent of the iguanas of the basilisks .
