Basketball association

The Argentine basketball association is called Confederación Argentina de Basquet . In 1932 he was a founding member of FIBA . The association organizes the Argentine Basketball League and the Argentine National Basketball Team .

World championships

The Argentine national team won the first basketball world championship in Buenos Aires in 1950 . After that, the Argentine team was able to qualify sporadically, the sixth place in 1967 was the best placement in the next fifty years. Argentina has been at every World Cup since 1986. The women's national team has so far won two medals at the American Championships, in 1995 the team lost to the Canadians in the final, and in 2001 the team received the bronze medal.
