The Baslerstab was the free newspaper with the highest circulation in the Basel region and was published by the publishing house Ads Union, most recently by Basler Zeitung Medien AG . It appeared from 1923 to 2014. It appeared five times a week (twice in the landscape), from May 7, 2009 twice more (Tuesdays and Thursdays, now without an editorial part) and from April 30, 2013 only once a week on Tuesdays.

The Baslerstab was finally discontinued on February 4, 2014, and its content was integrated into the BaZ Kompakt paid-for newspaper, which was launched three times a week on February 6, 2014 .

The Baslerstab last had an edition of 154,645 copies (2014).
