The Batman Dam ( Batman Barajı in Turkish ) is one of the 22 dams of the Southeast Anatolia GAP project in Turkey .

It stands on Batman Çayı , a tributary of the Tigris , in southeastern Turkey and is used for power generation and irrigation . The hydropower plant has a capacity of 198 MW and went into operation in 1998. 483  GWh of electricity can be generated annually . The irrigated area covers 37,744 km².

The dam made of bulk material is 71.5 m high or 85 m above the foundation.
