Battle Ace 's 3D shoot-'em-up - video game , which in 1989 as a launch title for the game console PC Engine SuperGrafx appeared.

Game principle and technology

The aim of the game is to survive seven levels or planets including the bosses . There are two different weapons with unlimited ammunition to choose from. A radar helps in the detection of enemies. The player has three lives, every 20,000 points there is an extra life. If you lose a life you start at the same level but you are set back a little in the level. If all lives are lost it is "Game Over". Of course, the highest possible high score should be achieved.

The gameplay is reminiscent of After Burner .

reception

The game received average reviews, the ASM 4/90 awarded 5/12 (graphic 9/12, sound 10/12) and the Power Play 8/90 79% (graphic 79%, sound 59%). While the technical implementation was praised, the monotonous game principle and the high level of difficulty were criticized.
