Battle of the Giants (Fiji)
The Battle of the Giants is an annual football competition for clubs from the largest provinces in Fiji under the supervision of the Fiji Football Association .
The tournament was first held in 1978 to create another source of money for the Fijian club. The idea for this came from JD Maharaj. This was the first time a football competition in Fiji was sponsored. 1987 was the only year in which the tournament did not take place. The reason for this was a military coup.

The ten best provinces take part in the Battle of the Giants . Currently these are the associations from the provinces of Ba , Labasa , Lautoka , Nadi, Nadroga, Nasinu, Navua, Rewa , Suva and Tavua. The ten teams are divided into two groups of five clubs each. Each club plays once against each other in the group. The best two teams in each group qualify for the semi-finals.
