Bauernstein Oberfarnstädt

The peasant stone Oberfarnstädt is a listed peasant stone in the village of Oberfarnstädt in the municipality of Farnstädt in Saxony-Anhalt . The stone is recorded as a special stone in the local monument register under registration number 428300317.

The Oberfarnstädt farm stone is located on Tränkestrasse on a green area by the village fountain. An information board on the farm stone was attached to the village fountain. The peasant stone is not in its original place, but was moved to its current place after its rediscovery. The peasant stone from Oberfarnstädt disappeared for many years until it was rediscovered when the aqueduct was built in 1979, when it was left underground. In 1999, people remembered where the farm stone was found and dug it up.

On the one hand, the farm stone from Oberfarnstädt is a ground monument and on the other hand it is also a cultural monument .
