Andrzej Kaleta

Andrzej Kaleta (born February 14, 1957 in Busko-Zdrój , Poland ) is a Polish clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Kielce .

Life

After graduating from high school, Andrzej Kaleta studied at the Technical University of Kielce before entering the seminary of the Kielce diocese in 1979 . Kaleta received on May 25 in 1985 by the Bishop of Kielce, Stanisław Szymecki , the sacrament of Holy Orders . From 1985 to 1988 Andrzej Kaleta was parish vicar in the parish of the Conception of Mary in Chmielnik and from 1988 to 1991 in the parish of St. Adalbert in Kielce .

In 1991 he became prefect of the seminary in Kielce and in 1993 he was also the defender of marriage bonds at the diocesan court of the Diocese of Kielce. From 1994 to 2006 Kaleta was director of the library of the seminary in Kielce. In 1999 Andrzej Kaleta became professor of missiology at the Kielce seminary and in 2001 also professor at the Institute for Library Science and Journalism at the University of Kielce . He has also been a spiritual director at Kielce Seminary since 2006 . From 2014 to 2016 Andrzej Kaleta was pastor in Kościelec . In 2016 he became episcopal vicar for further training for priests.

On November 8, 2017 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Maxita and auxiliary bishop in Kielce. The bishop of Kielce, Jan Piotrowski , donated him episcopal ordination on December 9th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Cracow , Marek Jędraszewski , and the Apostolic Nuncio in Poland, Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio .
