The Technical University of Kielce ( Polish Politechnika Świętokrzyska ) is a Polish state university in Kielce .
The origins of the university can be traced back to the mining academy founded by Stanisław Staszic in the early 19th century. From 1965 the first study programs were offered at the Kielce-Radom evening school for engineering. In 1974 the Kielce University of Technology was officially founded.
At the Technical University of Kielce, over 10,000 students study with over 400 professors and lecturers. In 2000 the Henryk Frąckiewicz Center for Laser Technology was founded together with the Polish Academy of Sciences ( Polska Akademia Nauk - PAN ).
