The West Pomeranian Technical University of Szczecin (pl. Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny w Szczecinie, ZUT for short ) is a university in Szczecin , the capital of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

It was founded on January 1, 2009 with the merger of the Szczecin University of Technology ( Politechnika Szczecińska ) and the former Szczecin Agricultural Academy ( Akademia Rolnicza Szczecin ).

The predecessor of the Technical University of Stettin was an engineering college (pl. Szkoła Inżynierska ) (founded in 1946) and converted into a technical university in 1955 .
