The Technical University of Łódź (Polish: Politechnika Łódzka ) is a technical university in the Polish city of Łódź . The Technical University of Łódź was founded on May 24, 1945 with 525 students at the first four institutes at the time: the Mechanical Institute, the Electrical Institute, the Chemical Institute and the Textile Fiber Institute.

Today around 17,000 students study there in nine faculties:

Student radio Żak
From III. The Politechnika dormitory has been operated by the “ Student Radio dasak ” (Studenckie Radio Żak Politechniki Łódzkiej) , one of the oldest university radio stations in Poland , since May 18, 1959 . Today the radio can be received via FM 88.8 MHz as well as via live stream over the Internet.
