Technical physics or physical technology is a branch of physics . It deals with the practical application of physical knowledge.

Technical physics includes design theory , environmental physics and computer simulation of physical processes. It uses areas from molecular physics , condensed matter physics , optics and physical measurement and analysis methods.

Technical physics course

The program Technical Physics or Engineering Physics is at technical colleges and in addition or alternative to the study of physics at universities offered. The course consists of a bachelor's degree with a standard period of six or seven semesters and a subsequent master's course with a standard period of four or three semesters. Students in the Applied Physics course undergo a similar training . In contrast to university education, more emphasis is placed on practical work at universities of applied sciences.

The course provides students with basic physical knowledge - lectures from experimental and theoretical physics - together with the working methods of physicists and the technical thinking of engineers . Tasks from electrical engineering , computer science , sensor technology and mechanical engineering are included.

The course is a practice-related engineering course that ends with a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree .
