Nils Döring (born April 23, 1980 in Wiesbaden ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
He began his football career at 1. FC Naurod before playing for Spvgg Sonnenberg until 1996. Then he switched to the amateurs of 1. FSV Mainz 05 , with whom he won the Southwest Cup in 2001 and 2002 . In 2002, two years followed with the amateurs of 1. FC Kaiserslautern . From there he moved to Sportfreunde Siegen in 2004 , for whom he played as a central defender and on the left outside in the Regionalliga and 2nd Bundesliga .
From 2006 to 2008 Döring was under contract with the second division club SC Paderborn 07 . From 2008 to 2010 he played for the second division club Rot Weiss Ahlen . In September 2010 Döring signed a contract with SV Wehen Wiesbaden . In April 2011, SV Wehen Wiesbaden announced that Döring's current contract at the end of the season would not be renewed and that Nils Döring would end his active career at the end of the season and work as assistant to the sports management at SVWW in the future.
On July 21, 2011, Döring announced that he wanted to play football again at a high level. He joined the association league team from TSV Schott Mainz . As team captain, he led the Mainz team to promotion to the league in the 2013/14 season. He then left the club and returned to Wiesbaden, where he has since played for the SVW reserves in the major league.
