During this time, he is the contact person for politics, business and universities. He is also authorized to act on behalf of BauFaK in the event of current inquiries. In addition, the plenum of BauFaK sends 3 representatives to the Faculty Day for Civil Engineering, Geodesy and Environment, to the Faculty Day Civil Engineering and to ASBau (Board: 1, Technical Committees: 2, General Assembly: 3; 1 vote each). purpose

  • The civil engineering student council conference primarily serves the purpose of representing the interests of civil engineering students from German-speaking countries. By bundling the experience that the student representatives bring with them from their various universities, it creates the space and the opportunity to deal with a range of topics ranging from internal faculty issues such as member recruitment to the highest pan-European issues such as the Bologna reform.
  • Thanks to its structure, BauFaK is also able to act as a point of contact for politics and business if the students are asked to comment on a public issue.
  • A third purpose is the social component of the conference. The biannual cycle enables cross-border networking of students, which on the one hand contributes to the personality and experience of the students, but on the other hand also gives the future employer the opportunity to work in a former BauFaK participant to attract an employee who can contribute to the success of the company through networking
