The Bauking GmbH (proper spelling BAUKING GmbH ) is a trading company with 79 specialized trade locations, 51 Hagebau markets and nearly 4,000 employees. The stock corporation is Hagebau's largest shareholder and specialist building materials dealer and is represented in northern, western and eastern Germany, with products and advice on structural, civil and structural engineering, roofing and interior fittings, as well as facade and gardening and landscaping.

history

At the beginning of 2002 the Hagebau partners Baubedarf Lehrmann and BVG E. N-Hollenberg merged and founded Bauking AG. A year later HBZ Holz- und Bauzentren was added and in December 2005 CRH plc took a 48% stake in Bauking. In January 2007, mobau Handel + Technik , Kapella Baustoffe , the roofing specialist Beez & Jeske and the specialist trade location Möller and Förster also merged with Bauking.

At the end of 2010, CRH plc became the main shareholder of Bauking with a stake of 98%. Michael Knüppel has been the board member for sales, marketing and personnel development since 2011. In 2016, Andreas Strietzel finally became CEO for Finance, Purchasing, IT, Human Resources and Strategic Orientation. In 2017, Bauking also acquired the companies AGP and Krüger & Scharnberg .

Uwe Volk has been Bauking's CFO since June 2019. In addition, the company headquarters moved from Hanover to Iserlohn.

In November 2019, Blackstone becomes the new owner of Bauking. A few months later in February 2020, the legal form was changed from Bauking AG to Bauking GmbH.
