Series 299

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The class 299 designated from 1968 narrow-gauge diesel locomotives of the Deutsche Bundesbahn and from 1992 also of the Deutsche Reichsbahn .

history

With the introduction of the new series scheme of the DB in 1968, the two remaining locomotives were the DB Class V 29 out than 299951-4 and 299953-0. After it was scrapped in 1969, the series was unused.

With the introduction of the DB class scheme at the Deutsche Reichsbahn on January 1, 1992, the ten diesel locomotives of the DR class 199.8 were listed as class 299 with the serial numbers 110 to 119 (see also the drawing plan for narrow-gauge rail vehicles 1992 ). Since the transfer to the Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB) was already foreseeable, the new numbers were not written to the locomotives. Because the DR series scheme is used again at HSB, the 299 series has been unused again since February 1, 1993.
