Bavarica

As Bavarica (plural of Bavaricum ) are book titles designated Bavarian reference.

These include fiction , poetry , reference works , monographs , magazines and series. According to the definition of the Bavarian Bibliography , the content and factual reference to Bavaria is the common feature. While the number of annual publications was around 70 titles in the 1970s, the number of titles on offer increased to over 250 in the 1980s. In the first years of the 21st century, around 160 new Bavarica appeared each year.

Publishers who have specialized in Bavarica include Bavarica-Verlag , Munich and Via Verbis in Wambach . Even the Allitera publishing his edition Monacensia has over 60 Bavarica titles in the program. However, literature about Bavaria is also published outside of Bavaria.
