Bavarian-Czech state exhibition

The first Bavarian-Czech state exhibition was presented in Prague and Nuremberg in 2016/17 . The focus was on Emperor Charles IV . and its time. Charles IV was chosen as the focus of the exhibition because he shaped both countries and especially the cities of Prague and Nuremberg.

The exhibition was opened on May 14, 2016 in Prague on the occasion of the 700th birthday of Charles IV. It was presented from May 14th to September 25th, 2016 in the Wallenstein riding arena in Prague and could be viewed from October 20th, 2016 to March 5th, 2017 in the Germanic National Museum in Nuremberg.

On the Bavarian side, the House of Bavarian History was responsible for the preparation, on the Czech side, the National Gallery in Prague ; Scientists from the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe played a key role in the conception, implementation and development of the exhibition catalog .
