Bavarian State Beer Exhibition 2016

The Bavarian State Exhibition Beer in Bavaria took place from April 29, 2016 to October 30, 2016 in Aldersbach , Lower Bavaria . According to the House of Bavarian History , it was the most successful Bavarian state exhibition since 2012 with a total of 230,000 visitors. The exhibition was opened by Prime Minister Horst Seehofer .

The reason for the exhibition on the subject of beer was the 500th anniversary of the enactment of the Bavarian Purity Law . A large number of exhibits showed the cultural history of the Bavarian "foodstuff", including the beer and pub culture, the different types of beer, beer festivals, revolts in beer price increases and historical brewing equipment. Especially for the exhibition, two beers were brewed in cooperation with twelve Bavarian monastery breweries according to old tradition: a gate beer (formerly for staff and visitors) and a convent beer (formerly for the monks and important guests). The historical and modern part of the Aldersbach brewery could also be viewed as part of the state exhibition .

For the exhibition the audio guide was spoken in Bavarian by cabaret artist Hannes Ringlstetter ; Cabaret artist Luise Kinseher played four film sequences in the role of Bavarian waitress from around 1900. A large number of Bavarian musicians and cabaret artists performed in the accompanying program of the exhibition.

For conception, research and implementation, the House of Bavarian History was honored together with the Aldersbach Brewery by the Bavarian Brewers' Association and the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association with the Golden Beer Idea 2016.
