Bavarian Taekwondo Union

The Bavarian Taekwondo Union (BTU) is the state umbrella organization for Taekwondo in Bavaria , based in Munich . The BTU is a member of the German Taekwondo Union and recognizes its regulations.

history

The association was founded in 1982 and became a member of the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV). The legal form is the registered association (eV) .

Successful BTU athletes

In the course of its existence, the BTU has produced numerous successes on a world level. These include, for example, Sümeyye Manz , Helena Fromm and Georg Streif (current national trainer of the German Taekwondo Union ).

Service base

To promote competitive sport, the BTU has its state performance base in Allgäu . In the spring of 1990 Taekwondo was officially recognized as a school sport in Bavaria. As a result, some schools offer this sport, in which the youngsters are regularly trained.
