Bavarian brass band association
The Bayerische Blasmusikverband eV is the umbrella organization for nine Bavarian brass music and minstrel associations. It was founded on March 12, 1999 in Munich as the successor to the Bavarian Music Association. The seat is in Munich.
The association currently looks after 2,500 wind orchestras and marching bands with over 120,000 active musicians (as of 2015).
The president is Peter Winter , the country conductor Frank Elbert and the managing director Andreas Horber .
