Allgäu-Swabian Music Association

The Allgäu-Swabian Music Association V. , or ASM for short , was founded in 1926 and is the oldest brass music association in Germany. According to the company's own information, 797 music associations, bands, youth bands, marching bands and alphorn groups with around 39,000 musicians are active in the Allgäu-Swabian Music Association. In addition, there are 48,000 sponsoring members, which results in a total of 87,000 members (as of 2015).

Like all Bavarian brass music associations, the ASM is organized in the Bavarian Brass Music Association (BBMV). The ASM is also a member of the Bavarian Music Council (BMR). The ASM office is located in the so-called Dossenberger Pfarrhof in Billenhausen , a district of the city of Krumbach in the Swabian district of Günzburg . The president of the ASM is Franz Josef Pschierer , the federal conductor is Thomas Hartmann.

The Allgäu-Swabian musicians were founded under the direction of Toni Scholl in 2014 with a Egerland line- up in order to carry on the great tradition of Egerland brass music. With this selection orchestra of the Allgäu-Swabian Music Association, which is trained in the special Egerland style, the focus is on the advanced and advanced character of the young wind musicians.
