The LandesMusikVerband NRW 1960 e. V. (LMV) (full name LandesMusikVerband NRW 1960 e.V. Association for minstrels, fanfare and brass music ) is a professional association for instrumental amateur music for minstrels , fanfare and brass music in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is entered in the register of associations of the Essen District Court (VR 30435). The association is a member of the State Music Council of North Rhine-Westphalia , the State Youth Association of North Rhine-Westphalia , the Federal Association of German Music Associations (BDMV) and the German Youth Wind Instruments .
tasks
The focus is on the musical education and training of the predominantly young musicians. In the youth sector, the focus is on extracurricular educational work as well as on the training and further education of volunteer workers in youth care. The regional association supports its clubs financially with funds from the regional youth plan for the implementation of holiday measures and international youth encounters. In the musical field, courses and seminars accompanying the course are carried out in the D1 - D3 area for the fields of minstrels, fanfare (natural sound) and wind orchestras . The state training committee consists of lecturers from conservatoires as well as instructors from the instrumental lay field with appropriate qualifications.
In addition to the main focus of education and training for young people, there are other tasks:

- Training for youth leaders
- Seminars on youth work
- Seminars on board work
- Performance-oriented state music meeting

- Advice on all club and association matters
advancement
The LandesMusikVerband is funded by the State Youth Plan NRW and the State Music Council NRW with public grants, it is:
- Sponsors of free youth welfare according to § 75 SGB VIII
- A youth association worthy of funding according to LJP - Section C -
- Non-profit active in youth care and the promotion of music
- Culture bearer of the minstrels, and he maintains the customs of minstrels.
With this funding, the association has the opportunity to financially support youth work in technical and interdisciplinary areas at the state and club level.
Country selection ensembles
With the LandesNaturtrompetenEnsemble (LNE) and the LandesAuswahlOrchester (LAO), the association has two nationally known ensembles made up of musicians from the member associations.
