The Foyn Point is one of a 525 m towered high mountain peaks headland at the Oskar-II. coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It marks the north side of the entrance to the Exasperation Inlet .
The Australian polar explorer Hubert Wilkins identified an island during his overflight on December 20, 1928 and determined its position at 66 ° 33 'South, 62 ° 30' West. Subsequent comparisons between Wilkins 'aerial photographs and those of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from 1947 showed that Wilkins' discovery must have been a headland, the southeastern extension of which is the cape described here. It is named after the Norwegian whaling and ship magnate Svend Foyn (1809-1894).
