Brass band of Baden-Württemberg
The Wind Music Association Baden-Württemberg (BVBW) is an association based in Stuttgart and represents over 380,000 members, 98,000 of whom are active musicians and over 44,000 young people since its founding in 1977. These members are in more than 1,400 music associations, wind orchestras and other ensembles within 22 Organized district associations. The member associations of the Baden-Wuerttemberg brass band are almost exclusively located in the Wuerttemberg region, while a large part of the clubs operating in Baden or their associations are organized in the Federation of German Brass Band Associations.
The Baden-Württemberg State Brass Orchestra and the Kürnbach Music Academy are also part of the brass band . The Music Academy Kürnbach was closed in 2016. The new construction of the music center Baden-Württemberg in Plochingen is currently taking place. The aim is to open in 2021. The president is Rudolf Köberle and the managing director Harald Eässig. Regional music director is Bruno Seitz.
