Rudolf "Rudi" Köberle (* 29. November 1953 in Fronhofen ) is a German politician of the CDU . He was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg from 1990 to 2016. Until May 2011, he was a member of the state government of Baden-Württemberg in various functions , most recently as Minister for Rural Areas, Nutrition and Consumer Protection .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1972 at Spohn-Gymnasium Ravensburg and completing military service, Rudolf Köberle studied political science, history and German in Constance . In 1980 he passed his scientific examination and in 1982 the pedagogical examination. From 1982 to 1992 he worked as a school teacher at the Weingarten grammar school . Rudolf Köberle is single.

Köberle has been a member of the CDU since 1969. From 1979 to 1985 he was district chairman of the Junge Union . Since 1989 Köberle has been district chairman of the CDU in the Ravensburg district . He was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg since February 20, 1990. He has a direct mandate in constituency 69 (Ravensburg) .

From 1992 to 2001 Köberle was Political State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and from June 2001 until the cabinet reshuffle by the new Prime Minister Günther Oettinger in April 2005, Minister and Plenipotentiary of the State of Baden-Württemberg at the federal government . In the press, Köberle's recall from Berlin was often seen in connection with his commitment to the Oettinger competitor Annette Schavan in the fight for Erwin Teufel's successor .

From April 2005 to February 2010 Köberle Political State Secretary in was Interior Ministry of Baden-Wuerttemberg and here for the transport policy of the country in charge.
