Friedrich Herrmann

Friedrich Herrmann (born December 25, 1892 in Neureut ; † November 23, 1954 there ) was a German politician ( FDP / DVP ).

Herrmann attended elementary school and high school and then worked as a farmer . From 1928 he became involved in the Württemberg farmers' association and was a member of the Württemberg state parliament from 1928 to 1932 as a representative of farmers and wine growers .

After the Second World War , Herrmann joined the DVP, which later became the Baden-Württemberg state association of the FDP, and was a member of the state constituent assembly and the state parliament of Württemberg-Baden from 1946 and from 1952 until his death in the state parliament of Baden- Württemberg . The Württemberg-Baden state parliament elected him in 1949 as a member of the first federal assembly , which elected Theodor Heuss as federal president . Minister President Reinhold Maier brought him into his cabinet in 1951 as Minister for Food, Agriculture, Viticulture and Forestry. He continued this office in 1952 in the newly formed state of Baden-Württemberg . In October 1953 Herrmann had to give up his office due to illness in favor of the CDU politician Eugen Leibfried .

Herrmann died a year later, shortly before the age of 62, in his place of birth, Neureut. His successor as a member of the state parliament was Anna Hartnagel .
