The Bavarian State Office for Schools ( LAS ), based in Gunzenhausen, is a state authority that reports to the Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Culture .
To the formation
The Bavarian State Office for Schools was created as part of the home strategy “Regionalization of Administration - Relocation of Authorities 2015” of the then Finance Minister Markus Söder .
The new state authority in Gunzenhausen was established on January 1, 2017.
tasks
The Bavarian State Office for Schools is responsible for the following tasks:
- Certificate recognition of non-Bavarian school-leaving qualifications and examinations and qualifications for teaching at grammar schools , elementary schools and secondary schools
- Certificate assessments for the countries of Africa , Asia , the Arab world , Iran , Israel and Turkey , for the countries of Latin America and Eastern Europe and for the USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, for the United Kingdom and for Ireland as well as for the BeNeLux countries , Liechtenstein and Switzerland, France, Greece, Portugal, Spain and Austria.
